Memorial Day Weekend

Happy Memorial Day! I hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend and sending gratitude to all our Veterans that fought so hard for this day of freedom. Cheers to y’all!

I am spending my weekend with my family, friends and working just a little… I’m having a Pop Up Shop at the Wiki Wiki on Folly Beach, SC. The weather is quite nice, well in my opinion anyway, but I love hot weather.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! Wishin’ everyone a safe and happy 2018. I started my year out in one of my favorite cities, New Orleans, and left with so much inspiration. From the food, the art, good company and MUSIC! It was definitely the coldest trip I’ve ever had to NOLA, but not much can keep me inside. We had an amazing dinner at Doris Metropolitan on Saturday, December 30th. The food was divine and service was top notch. The beef carpaccio was UH-mazing and had “balsamic pearls” on it. We had New Years Eve dinner at Domenica inside The Roosevelt Hotel. The Christmas lights & decorations are a sight to behold. One of the prettiest displays I have ever seen. Now onto my music fix: I was fortunate enough to see The Revivalists to ring in the new year. It was magical! If you haven’t seen them yet, do yourself a favor and see them the first chance you get. New Years Day was great… We had a nice New Years lunch at Katie’s, my beloved Gamecocks won the Outback Bowl & spent the day with dear friends.

Southern Designer Showcase Finalist

On June 29th, I faced my biggest fear (well other than eating onions) of PUBLIC SPEAKING and I lived! I had the opportunity to present Zinnialou to 12 corporate buyers as a finalists in Belk’s Southern Designer Showcase. Belk’s Corporate Buyers chose 13 finalist out of thousands of applicants and chose 5 to go on as winners. Although, I didn’t win I am extremely honored to have been named a finalist. It was such an amazing experience!

Folly Gras 2017

Laissez les bon temps rouler! I can’t express my love for Folly Beach, SC enough! I love the community, the beach and even all the tourist that keep it thriving and such a fun little island to call home. Saturday Folly Beach hosted their annual Mardi Gras parade and street festival… It was perfect! I was so happy to be part of the festival as a vendor. If you haven’t visited Folly Beach, do yourself a favor and check it out. The next event is the Sea & Sand Fest on April 8th! Hopefully we’ll get lucky with weather once again!
